Description
celestial spire emerged the way all of Martin’s work does — not from a plan, but from the pen finding its own way across the page. The spire wasn’t decided. It arrived.
What you see is a geometric point driving upward through a mass of organic form, a crescent moon holding its place in the void beside it. Somewhere in the lower curves, a face. The longer you look, the more the piece gives back — which makes sense, given that Martin himself didn’t always know what he was putting there.
Hand drawn in black ink. Every line deliberate, even when the hand wasn’t.
