Shipping Policy
Everything you need to know about how we get your order to you
At inkitabstracts, every print product is made to order — which means your item is printed, packed and dispatched especially for you. This page explains how that process works and what to expect when it comes to delivery.
1. How Your Orders Are Made and Shipped
Our print-on-demand products are fulfilled through a global network of over 140 print production partners operating across 32 countries. Rather than holding stock in a single warehouse, orders are produced as close to you as possible — which means faster delivery, lower environmental impact, and fresher prints.
95% of orders are produced in the same country as the delivery address. In some cases — for example if a product isn't available locally, or production capacity requires it — your order may be produced in a different country and shipped internationally.
Your delivery address will appear as the destination on the shipping label. The sender name on the label will reflect inkitabstracts or our fulfilment partner, depending on the origin location.
2. Delivery Times
Your total delivery time has two parts: production time (the time it takes to print and prepare your order) and shipping time (the time it takes to travel from the production facility to your door). Both vary depending on the product, your location, and the shipping method you choose.
| Shipping Method | Domestic (est.) | International (est.) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard / Economy | 2–4 business days | 4–6 business days |
| Express | 1–2 business days | 2–4 business days |
3. Shipping Options
We offer Standard/Economy and Express shipping for most destinations. The options available to you will be shown at checkout based on your location and the products in your order.
- Standard / Economy — the default shipping method, suitable for most orders where delivery speed is not critical.
- Express — prioritised, expedited shipping for when you need your order sooner. Express is not available to all destinations.
If only one shipping method is available for your destination, this will be shown automatically at checkout.
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location, the product(s) ordered, their size and weight, and the shipping method selected. The full cost will be displayed before you complete your order — there are no hidden charges.
5. Where We Ship
We aim to ship to customers worldwide. Availability to specific destinations is confirmed at checkout. If a delivery address is not supported, you will be notified before placing your order.
Please note that some remote locations or destinations with restricted postal access may not be available.
6. Multi-Item Orders
If your order contains more than one item, those items may be produced at different locations within the fulfilment network and dispatched separately. This means your order could arrive in more than one parcel, potentially on different days.
If you receive part of an order and are concerned about the rest, please feel free to contact us at admin@inkitabstracts.co.uk and we'll look into it for you.
7. How Your Order Is Packaged
Packaging is chosen to protect your order during transit. The method used depends on the product type:
Prints and posters
- Prints up to A4 are shipped flat.
- Prints larger than A4 are rolled and shipped in rigid triangular tubes.
Framed prints
- Frames are pre-packed with corner protectors and a protective film, then placed in reinforced boxes with strong edges.
- Posters are packaged separately to the frame within the same shipment.
- Plexiglass used in frames may have a protective film on both sides, which can appear milky, blue or green — this is not damage and should be peeled off before display.
Canvas and acrylic prints
- Packed in boxes with reinforced edges, with bubble wrap or craft paper for additional protection.
- Acrylic prints have a protective film on the front — this is not damage and should be removed before display.
All packaging is designed to minimise damage during transit. If your order arrives damaged, please see Section 11.
8. International Orders and Customs
Because our products are fulfilled through a global network of print partners, most orders are produced in the same country as the delivery address and will not incur any customs or import fees. Where possible, we work with partners who cover import duties upfront so no additional charges apply to you.
Please note: customs coverage varies by product and print partner, and is not guaranteed for every order or destination — including within the United Kingdom. If a particular item is produced outside your delivery country, it may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, local VAT or handling fees when it crosses the border into your country.
Where these charges apply, they are set by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient, unless stated otherwise at checkout. Import rules and thresholds change from time to time — including recent changes to customs relief in the UK, EU and elsewhere — so charges may vary and are outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs checks or unpaid import charges.
If you are unsure about your country's import rules, we recommend checking before placing your order.
9. Delivery Address Accuracy
Please ensure your delivery address is complete, accurate and formatted correctly when placing your order. Once an order has been sent to production we are unable to change the delivery address.
- We cannot be responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address.
- If an order is returned, delayed or lost because of an address error, you may be responsible for the cost of reprinting and reshipping.
- Some countries require addresses to be entered in a specific format or local language — we will flag this at checkout where applicable.
If you notice an error in your address immediately after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible at admin@inkitabstracts.co.uk and we will do our best to update it before production begins.
10. Lost or Delayed Orders
If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, please first check with your local delivery office or courier in case a delivery attempt was made while you were out.
If you are still unable to locate your order, please contact us at admin@inkitabstracts.co.uk with your order number and we will investigate. We may ask you to confirm your delivery address before we proceed.
If an order is confirmed as lost in transit, we will work with our fulfilment and delivery partners to arrange a suitable resolution, which may include a replacement or refund.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs checks, unpaid import charges, failed delivery attempts, parcels left unclaimed, or events outside our control.
11. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible at admin@inkitabstracts.co.uk and include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the item and its packaging
- Photographs of any visible damage to the outer packaging
Please keep both the item and the packaging until we have had a chance to review your case. We will do our best to resolve the issue promptly, whether that's a replacement, refund or another suitable solution.
For full details of your cancellation and returns rights, please see our Terms & Conditions.
