Description

the sickle heron stretches across the page in one long, confident sweep — a slender, blade-like form that curves and narrows like a beak caught mid-motion. A patterned spine of zigzags and dots runs along its length, adding a rhythmic, almost decorative structure to the otherwise fluid line. Comb-like fringes break from the main form at intervals, hinting at feathers without ever settling into literal detail.

At one end, the line resolves into a long, trailing stroke that tapers off with real momentum, balancing the density of pattern elsewhere in the piece. It’s a study in contrast: precise, repeating marks set against open, sweeping curves, all rendered in confident black ink on white.
