Description
the parade general marches straight out of an imaginary festival. Beneath a plumed, curling hat, a moustached face peers past raised lances and dotted banners, while a chest of medals — rendered as spheres, grids, and woven panels — puffs outward with unearned confidence.
Long tendrils trail beneath the figure like coat-tails or streamers, giving the composition both grounding and swagger. Every section of the uniform follows its own decorative logic, as though the general commissioned each part from a different tailor and refused to choose between them.
The piece is a portrait of pageantry itself — authority worn as costume, and thoroughly enjoyed.
